Sick! @ The Zanzibar:
Friday 8th October 2010
@ The Zanzibar Club, Liverpool
Lineup:
Panic! Smiths + Morrissey Disco

The turnout for The Smiths disco was actually up, and a lot of our friends came along and had a good time.

But none of us could really get into the bands Tony had booked, and the turnout didn't seem much higher than for the bands we'd booked.

The idea of doing a Smiths disco was originally meant to boost the numbers so that we could book bands that were good artistically but weren't well enough known to be much of a draw, but now we were just doing the Smiths Disco on it's own, it wasn't quite the same.

At time of writing I'm talking to Tony about taking The Smiths disco in-house. I'll still be involved in facebook promotion of it etc, but I won't have any financial involvement.

We talked about doing "Sick!" at another venue, there are some Liverpool venues that offer free hire (but on a Monday night, and without the quality PA system that The Zanzibar has) but the night has lost it's momentum, so Sick! is on indefinite hiatus for now.

But watch this space ...
